There’s a lot more going on in the area than just ‘Something in the Water’

Even though there are tens of thousands of people expected to attend Pharrell Williams’ Something in the Water festival, there’s still plenty to do in the area for those not going.

The International Tattoo

The 2019 International Tattoo will take place starting Thursday, April 25 to Sunday, April 28 in Downtown Norfolk.

A Taste of India

The Taste of India food and culture expo will take place on Saturday, April 27 at the Ted Constant Convocation Center starting at 11 a.m.

The event is free and open to the public.

Wegmans grand opening

Check out the grand opening of the region’s first Wegmans this Sunday, April 28 at 7 a.m.

Old Beach Farmers Market

The Old Beach Farmers Market will be opening up a whole week early to cater to the crowds attending the Something in the Water festival.

Come check out artisans and vendors from all over Hampton Roads.

Cemetery tours

Check out a cemetery tour in Elmwood Cemetery to learn more about important women in Norfolk.

The tour starts at 2 p.m. and will run until 3:30 p.m.

Tours are donation-based and open to the public.

Something in the Street

There will be a free celebration in honor of SITW in the heart of Norfolk’s Culture and Arts District on Friday, April 26 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday, April 27, from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The event is sponsored by KICKSTART ART Gallery, Giving Hands and Crestar Health, LLC.

Care-A-Lot Pet Lovers’ Extravaganza 2019

Check out the North American Diving Dogs at this year’s pet lover’s extravaganza in Virginia Beach.

Families are invited to check out the expo and over 60 pet-related vendors from April 26 to 28.

Commonwealth Brewing in Virginia Beach is hosting a food truck rodeo on Sunday, April 28 from noon to 4 p.m. in partnership with the Hampton Roads Food Truck Association.

The long-awaited premiere of ‘Avengers End Game’ is Friday, April 26 at 6 p.m.
