It’s that time of the year again: Busch Gardens Williamsburg is ramping up for its opening date this spring.

The park is set to open March 23, Busch Gardens Williamsburg wrote in a news release.

The opening will include a deal for one free 10-ounce beer, but only for members and annual pass holders 21 and older.

The beer will be served at Das Festhaus in the Oktoberfest village March 23 and 24. Members and annual pass holders can get one free beer per park visit.

“Busch Gardens has a rich history with beer, from Das Festhaus and the Burgermeister to our popular annual Bier Fest event,” said Kevin Lembke, Busch Gardens and Water Country USA park president.  “We’re excited to celebrate the start of the season with our Members and Annual Pass Holders with a nod to these traditions.”

Opening weekend also features 50-percent-off deals for quick queue and quick queue unlimited passes.

Zoo team members will also be throughout the park with its animal ambassadors.

At the end of opening day, Busch Gardens will shoot off some fireworks to “welcome the new season,” park officials said.

Busch Gardens also has another new addition this upcoming season: A new “screamin’ swing” ride in the Ireland section of the park, Finnegan’s Flyer, will open this May.

Spring break operation begins March 29 through April 7, and April 12 through April 28.
