Good news, trick-or-treaters.
If you’re going door-to-door for candy and other ghoulish treats, you might not need to cover your costume with a coat this year.
The National Weather Service is forecasting a warm Halloween evening Wednesday — temperatures will hover in the low- to mid-70s then drop to the mid- to low-60s around 8 p.m.
It will be slightly warmer than last year, meteorologist Eswar Iyer said.
Iyer said the area is unlikely to see any rain. There may be a light breeze about 10 to 15 mph.
“It should be a dry evening — It’s looking pretty good,” Iyer said.
Last year, Halloween’s highs were around 70 degrees and dropped to the low- to mid-40s in the evening. This year, the temperature drop won’t be as drastic, Iyer said.
The forecast appears to be the same for the Peninsula and the Southside.
On average, Halloween’s high and low temperatures in the area have been 66 and 45 degrees, respectively, according to the National Weather Service.
