NORFOLK — The Virginia Zoo needs the community’s help with celebrating some of their favorite zoo friends and their wild counterparts.
You can do this by joining them for Animal Appreciation Days, one of which is on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at the Virginia Zoo.
The theme is sloths and as part of the festivities visitors can “symbolically” adopt the zoo’s sloths between Oct. 15 and Oct. 20 at the $50 level.
The money directly benefits the Sloth Institute of Costa Rica.
In addition to helping out a sloth, you will be automatically entered to win a sneak peek behind-the-scenes encounter with a sloth for you and a guest.
