
A Richmond man is in jail a man was pushed from a balcony, James City County Police said.
Officers were called around 1:30 a.m. Aug. 26 to the 200 block of Meadowfield Lane for a report of a fight, according a release from JCC Police.
There officers found Tyshawn Kelly, 31, of Richmond with visible injuries, including a bloody nose and scratches, police said.
Kelly and the victim, a 27-year-old man from Charlottesville, were known to each other, police said.
After the fight, but before authorities arrived, the victim was sitting on a second-story balcony when Kelly pushed him off and the victim fell to the concrete slab below, said JCC Police spokeswoman Stephanie Williams.
The victim refused to be taken to a hospital, William said.
Kelly was treated by medics at the scene and taken into custody. He is charged with felonious assault.
