VIRGINIA BEACH — A 57-year-old man is in jail accused of stabbing another man during a fight Monday morning.
Alvin Theothius Smith is being held in the Virginia Beach Jail without bond charged with malicious wounding.
Police said officers were flagged down at around 2:19 a.m. Monday and alerted about two people fighting at a bus stop 19th street and Arctic Avenue. Officers were told that one may be armed with a knife.
At the scene, officers found “an adult male victim suffering from what appeared to be stab wounds.”
He was taken to a local hospital with what police described as “life-threatening injuries.”
Smith remained at the scene and was arrested.
