VIRGINIA BEACH — Police are investigating a single-vehicle crash that left a person dead Friday afternoon.
Dispatchers received a call around 4:01 p.m., and immediately sent officers and emergency medical personnel to the 1600 block of Mill Road.
There, officers found the “single occupant of the vehicle unresponsive and partially submerged in water,” police said.
That person was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said “speed is not considered a factor in this crash.”
Further information about the crash was not immediately released.
