Several new air conditioners have been stolen from a construction site in Williamsburg, and police need the public’s help finding the culprit.

Williamsburg Police are looking for a person of interest in the investigation, according to a press release.

The air conditioners were new Amana-brand packaged terminal air conditioner units often used in hotel rooms.

The units were delivered to a construction site on York Street in January, Williamsburg Police Maj. Greg Riley said in an email.

They were not discovered missing until June, Riley said, adding police do not know when the units were taken.

Workers were present and working at the site during daytime hours between January and June, but the site was vacant at night, Riley said.

Police ask anyone with information to call the Williamsburg Police Department at 757-220-2331 or the Crime Stoppers line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
