NORFOLK — The City Treasurer’s office has been notified of unsolicited telephone calls attempting to collect taxes — and the treasurer’s office said it does not solicit payments over the phone.

Staff from the treasurer’s office will let taxpayers know if money is due and the proper method for payment.
If a Norfolk taxpayer receives an unsolicited call, hang up and call the Treasurer’s Office at 757-664-7800.
