
Days of inclement weather have led to several weekend events being cancelled or postponed throughout the Historic Triangle.
A flood watch has been issued for the area through Saturday afternoon.
A list of cancelled or rescheduled events is below:
The “Touch A Truck” event, scheduled at the McReynolds Athletic Complex Saturday, has been cancelled, according to York County’s Public Information Office. The event kicked off National Public Works Week in York County.
“We are all very disappointed and will work to coordinate another event in the future”, shared Brian Woodward, York County Director of Public Works.
The Movie in the Park that was to follow in the same locatation is also cancelled.
James City County Police have postponed the Shred-a-Thon from Saturday to July 18, according to a press release.
Family Fun Fest at Chickahominy Riverfront Park has been cancelled, according to a press release from James City County. The event had been scheduled between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Saturday. The park grounds will be impacted by heavy rainfall, the release said.
