YORK — The York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office has arrested a 33-year-old Newport News man in connection with a robbery at a C&F Bank in York County.
Russell Hudgins was arrested Friday after an investigation involving several agencies, including the Isle of Wight Sheriff’s Office, Newport News Police Department and the Virginia Fusion Center.
Update 10:30 a.m. Friday:
The York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office has released a description of a vehicle that a man left in after robbing C&F Bank on George Washington Memorial Highway.
Authorities are describing the vehicle as a “late-model” Dodge Ram pickup truck with a matching camper shell.
The truck has a large brush guard on the front and a yellow “item,” which may be a winch cover.
It also has aftermarket black wheels.

The York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office is on the scene of a bank robbery on George Washington Memorial Highway in York County.
Authorities received an emergency call at 9:38 a.m. Wednesday reporting a robbery at the C&F Bank at 2800 George Washington Memorial Highway, said sheriff’s office spokeswoman Shelley Ward.
A man entered the bank, took an undisclosed amount of money and then left in a vehicle, Ward said. No other details about the suspect were readily available.
There were no injuries resulting from the incident.
Ward said the sheriff’s office is not yet releasing whether there was a weapon involved in the robbery.
At 10:30 a.m., authorities were still on the scene investigating, Ward said.
