NORFOLK — Taking the family to Disney World will soon get a whole lot easier: Frontier Airlines has announced that it has added nine new routes, which will include flights (to and) from Norfolk International Airport to both Orlando, Florida, and Denver, Colorado – where the airline is headquartered.
The carrier’s tagline is “Low Fares Done Right,” and to celebrate the new routes the company is offering special introductory fares, with flights advertised for as low as $29.
“These additional nine routes are the latest evidence of Frontier’s commitment to make air travel more affordable and accessible to everyone,” said Daniel Shurz, senior vice president of commercial for Frontier. “We’re offering not only amazing low fares, but a reliable and friendly service that allows customers to customize their travel experience to their needs and budget. This empowers more people than ever to fly. This is what our Low Fares Done Right philosophy is all about.”
Flights to and from Denver and Orlando will begin at Norfolk on Aug. 12, with flights for now scheduled on just Thursdays and Sundays. Travelers will fly on an Airbus A320.
Frontier offers service to about 90 destinations in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic, and employs some 3,000 people, according to the company’s website.
