VIRGINIA BEACH — Virginia Beach Animal Control officers are searching for a woman accused of abandoning a sick kitten on the side of the road.
A citizen brought in a kitten who had a “severe upper-respiratory infection” and other sicknesses to VBAC on March 23. That witness told authorities of seeing a woman stick the kitten, who was inside of a cardboard box, underneath shrubs near Old Great Neck Road and Poyner Lane around 5:15 p.m., according to a city news release.
Because of the kitten’s serious illnesses, VBAC euthanized it. They estimate it was between 6 months and 1-year-old.
