The York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office is looking for a man who robbed a York County Dollar General store Wednesday afternoon.

The man entered the Dollar General, located in the 2800 block of Denbigh Boulevard, around 12:44 p.m., showed a handgun and took an “undisclosed” amount of cash, according to a sheriff’s office Facebook post.

Authorities believe he left in a late-model gray Honda and turned onto Denbigh Boulevard, driving toward Newport News.

The suspect is described as a white man, about 6 feet tall, with a slim build. He was wearing dark sunglasses and a striped hooded sweatshirt at the time of the robbery, the post said.

Anyone able to identify the man or anyone who has information on the armed robbery should contact the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office Facebook Tip Line at 757-890-4999 or Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
