Looking for full or part time work this summer? James City County Parks and Recreation might be the fit for you.
The county is hosting a job fair on March 10 from 10 a.m to 2 p.m. for summer workers to fill multiple positions, according to a news release.
The fair will be held at the James City County Recreation Center and applicants can apply online and in person for jobs such as:
- Customer service assistants and park attendants
- Instructors (sports, outdoors and special interest)
- Lifeguards
- Recreation leaders
- Assistant recreation site supervisors
- Therapeutic recreation leaders for special needs populations
Same-day interviews are available, and there will be free child care available for applicants during the application and interview process.
Applicants can apply for seasonal work, up to 40 hours per week during the summer only, or for year-round work, up to 28 hours per week all year.
All applicants must complete a drug test and submit to a background check, according to the release. Applicants must be at least 16 years old at the time of hire and, if under the age of 18, have parental consent if selected for a position.
