Following a snowstorm Wednesday that dropped between one and four inches of snow on the peninsula, schools will finally reopen Friday.

Both Williamsburg-James City County Schools and York County School Division will have a two-hour delay Friday, according to Twitter alerts from both school divisions.

In Williamsburg and James City County, 12-month employees should report on time. SOL exams scheduled for January 19 will be rescheduled. A revised high school semester exam schedule will be provided to students and families on Jan. 19.

In York County, all midterm exams for high school credit courses are canceled.

Jan. 29-30 will not be full school days for York County students, and Jan. 31 will remain and early release said.
