NORFOLK — Two men were killed in an apparent murder-suicide after a collision on Northampton Boulevard Tuesday night, police said.
According to police, both men were driving their cars in the 6000 block of Northampton Boulevard when the cars hit each other. Dwight Walker Jr., 27, of the 2400 block of Locks Landing in Chesapeake exited his vehicle and shot Shaquille Turner, 25, of Virginia Beach, police said. Walker then shot himself.
When police arrived around 7:15 p.m., they found two abandoned vehicles as well as Walker and Turner on the ground. They were both pronounced dead at the scene of the shooting, according to officials.
Police say the two men knew each other.
Detectives are still investigating and ask anyone who may have heard or seen anything to call the Norfolk Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
The incident marks the third and fourth shooting deaths in Norfolk since Sunday.
