Car windows were smashed on Halloween and credit cards were stolen. Police are looking for the accused thieves.

VIRGINIA BEACH — Police are asking the public to help them identify accused thieves officials believe are connected to car larcenies and using stolen credit cards on Halloween.

The windows of two cars were smashed in and items were stolen on Oct. 31 in the 1600 block of Independence Boulevard and the 4100 block of First Count.

Later, people were seen using the victim’s stolen credit cards to buy more than $2,000 in items at a Providence Road Kroger, and someone tried to use a stolen check to get money, according to the Virginia Beach Police Department.
