VIRGINIA BEACH — A man died after he hit a pole while driving on Virginia Beach Boulevard on Wednesday morning, police say.
The man was traveling east in the 3600 block of Virginia Beach Boulevard around 3:08 a.m. when his car ran off the road and hit a pole, according to the Virginia Beach Police Department.
The man had already died when emergency medical workers arrived at the scene, according to the VBPD.
Although the crash is under investigation, police believe speed may have been a factor in it.
