VIRGINIA BEACH — A 59-year-old man died after being pulled from a burning mobile home on Baker Road Tuesday night.
The accidental fire started around 8:20 p.m. in one of the bedrooms, according to public information officer Art Kohn. No other details about the fire’s cause have been made available.
The fire was under control within 15 minutes of the Virginia Beach Fire Department’s arrival, Kohn said.
The man taken from the mobile home and was brought to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. His identity has not been released by the fire department at this time.
A dog and a bird died in the fire, Kohn said.
