While Christmas is still months away, the folks at Busch Gardens are already gearing up for the season.
The park’s annual Christmas celebration starts Nov. 24 and runs on select days through Jan. 1, 2018. This year’s celebration will feature more lights than ever — more than 8 million across the park — giving Christmas Town the most lights of any holiday event in North America, according to a recent press release.
“This year’s event is bigger and better than ever,” the release stated.
Some new additions this year include an all-new show called “Gift of Harmony,” which features a “modern a cappella sound.” The musical set will include classic Christmas songs and some newer holiday favorites, the release said.
“Traditions are important during the holiday season, and we’re grateful so many families have made Busch Gardens Christmas Town a part of their annual celebrations,” Busch Gardens President David Cromwell said in the release. “Every year, we add great new features while staying true to the many elements guests have grown to love about this one-of-a-kind event.”
Also new this year is an expanded Santa’s workshop. The new, “roomier home” will be located in the castle home to the Curse of DarKastle thrill ride. And those looking for more thrill rides will be able to ride the Busch Gardens’ new wooden roller coaster InvadR and the coaster Verbolten along with 22 other rides, the release stated.
Busch Gardens will be open from 2-10 p.m. on regularly scheduled Christmas Town operating days from Nov. 24 through New Year’s Day. Single-day tickets will be available starting Nov. 2 with a five-day introductory sale on one-day tickets. Prices will increase after the sale period and will vary by day throughout the event.
