Police search for suspects in Virginia Beach armed robbery

VIRGINIA BEACH — Police are searching for two men who allegedly robbed two people at gunpoint on Friday morning at a Virginia Beach gas station.

Police said the robbery happened around 4:25 a.m. at the Chimney Hill BP station, located at 3711 Holland Road. A surveillance video shows the victims inside a car at a gas pump when two men ran up to them and one of them pointed a handgun into the car.

The men allegedly demanded property. When the victims gave it to them, they ran through the Chimney Hill Shopping Center, police said.

According to police, both men had a similar build. They stood between 5-feet-5-inches and 6-feet tall and weighed between 130 and 180 pounds. Both were thin and had short hair.

One of the men wore a windbreaker while the other wore a light colored shirt, police said.
