NORFOLK — In an effort to find a 19-year-old woman who went missing under suspicious circumstances in Virginia Beach last week, the FBI has released two videos that show some of her final recorded moments.
The videos show Ashanti Markaila Billie driving her Mini Cooper into gate three of Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story around 4:45 a.m. and exiting the gate three minutes later due to a traffic accident that made it impassable.
After coming out of gate three, Billie drove to gate one to gain access to the base just before 5 a.m. The FBI has not released the video of Billie going through gate one as of yet.
According to the FBI, Billie was going into the base to go to work at a sandwich shop; however, she never arrived and she never went to her regularly scheduled college classes.
Later that day, Billie’s cellphone was found in a dumpster near the corner of Tallyho Terrace and Azalea Garden Road in Norfolk. On Saturday, police found Billie’s Mini Cooper in the 9500 block of Lakeside Drive.
Now, the FBI is offering a $10,000 reward for information that may lead to Billie’s discovery.
She is described as being 4-feet-11-inches and weighing about 133 pounds.
Anyone with information the location of Billie should call the VBPD at 757-385-5000 or Virginia Beach Crime Solvers at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
