12-year-old accuses stepfather of touching her while on spring break in Virginia Beach

VIRGINIA BEACH — A man is under investigation after his 12-year-old stepdaughter told police that he inappropriately touched her while they were on vacation in Virginia Beach in April.

On June 11, the girl told the Baltimore County Police Department that she and her family were on spring break in Virginia Beach from April 10 to April 14. While vacationing, the girl said her stepfather touched her inappropriately and showed her how to look up pornography online, according to documents filed in Virginia Beach Circuit Court.

She told police that while she was sitting on his lap, her stepfather grabbed her rear-end. She also said that on the same night the touching happened, her stepfather came into her bedroom completely naked, court documents state.

The man also allegedly showed her how to look up pornography using their electronic tablet.

When questioned by the Virginia Beach Police Department, the man let an officer read through Facebook messages between himself and his stepdaughter, which showed the two talking about the spring break incident and other conversations that had sexual content in them, according to court documents.

In a search executed on Aug. 9, police requested all Facebook messages between the man and his stepdaughter from April 10 until Aug. 5. They also requested information from the man’s Facebook account. Their findings are pending digital analysis, but the VBPD confirmed that the case is still under investigation.
