NORFOLK — A 37-year-old man is accused of killing a woman while driving drunk in Oceanview last Friday.
Phillip J. Harrison was charged with felony hit-and-run and driving under the influence in connection with the fatal crash that killed 54-year-old Erica Zankli.
Police say Zankli was riding her bike in the 1400 block of East Ocean View Avenue around 10:30 p.m. on July 21 when Harrison hit her in a Toyota pickup truck. Officials found her unconscious on the road, and she died at the scene, according to the Norfolk Police Department.
Harrison is accused of driving away from the scene after hitting Zankli.
