NORFOLK — Police released the name of a woman killed by a hit-and-run driver Friday evening.
According to the Norfolk Police Department, officers and emergency units responded to reports of a woman being hit by a car in the 1400 block of East Ocean View Avenue.
Erica Zankli, 54, was found lying in the street and was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene, police say.
The vehicle that hit Zankli fled the scene.
Police have not released any further information on the crash.
