A Walmart shopper got something she didn’t bargain for during a trip to the neighborhood market Saturday.
According to Stephanie Williams of the James City County Police Department, a 39-year-old woman was using the store’s restroom when she observed a man peering over the bathroom stall at her.
The woman began screaming when she saw the man, which alerted other employees and shoppers of his presence, Williams said.
Police received a call around 3:15 p.m. from someone at the Walmart, which is located at 4670 Casey Blvd. Williams said it was unclear who made the call.
By the time police arrived, the suspect — who was described as a bald man wearing a red shirt and jeans — had fled the scene on a bicycle, Williams said.
The incident is under investigation.
