
VIRGINIA BEACH — A man accused of murdering a 36-year-old woman in a Virginia Beach apartment turned himself in to police Thursday.
Zorobabel Matthan Griggs, 42, has been charged with second-degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and a probation violation in connection with the death of Keisa Overby Staton, of Chesapeake.
Staton was found dead in an apartment in the 700 block of Gourmet Way around 10 a.m. on June 12.
According to the Virginia Beach Police Department, Griggs turned himself in around 4:30 a.m. and is currently being held at the Virginia Beach Correctional Center without bond.
