NORFOLK — Police arrested a suspect Thursday evening in relation to an Ocean View murder in May.
Jamal Branch, 22, was arrested at a residence in the 200 block of Dale Drive in Portsmouth around 5:30 p.m.
Branch is charged with second-degree murder in the shooting death of 23-year-old Richard Eyerman.
Eyerman was found near the intersection of East Ocean View Avenue and Warwick Avenue just before 9 p.m. on May 21, police said.
The U.S. Marshals helped local police arrest Branch, according to a news release.
Branch is being held at Norfolk City Jail.
