Police have released the identity of a Williamsburg man who was caught with a handgun in his carry-on baggage at an airport in Washington D.C. on May 15, according to the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Police.
Bryan Marsh, 39, was cited for attempting to bring a Glock 27 handgun and a loaded magazine of ammunition through a security checkpoint at Dulles International Airport around 9:30 a.m. on May 15, according to police.
While the gun was not technically loaded at the time, the magazine had seven rounds of ammunition in it.
Marsh was charged by airport police for carrying a weapon in an airport terminal, according to Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority spokesman Andrew Trull.
Marsh was released back into the airport from police custody after he was issued a summons, Trull said.
