5 charged with murder in 1st View Street shooting

NORFOLK — Five people have been charged with murder in the Tuesday morning shooting death of a Norfolk man.

Police say Pedro Cain, 24, was shot inside of his home in the 9000 block of 1st View Street. Cain’s death was the city’s 14th homicide of 2017.

Four adults from Virginia Beach and a teenager were arrested within hours of the shooting, police said. All five were charged with second-degree murder and the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

The arrested adults are:

  • David W. Barrington, 21, of the 1700 block of Unicorn Drive
  • Kevin D. Hill, 22, of the 1100 block of Gunn Hall Drive
  • Ashanta D. Parker, 18, of the 400 block of N. Oceana Boulevard
  • Felicia L. Ries, 20, of the 400 block of N. Oceana Boulevard

All four are being held in Norfolk City Jail without bond. The 17-year-old is being held at Norfolk Juvenile Detention Center.
