UPDATE 11 a.m.: Richmond Road has reopened in both directions.
A gas leak near the intersection of Depot Street and Richmond Road in Toano has closed down Route 60 in both directions, according to a county news release.
Around 9:30 a.m., Virginia Natural Gas was called to the scene of the leak, near the Toano Post Office.
A detour has been set up off of Church Lane through Chesapeake Avenue, the release stated.
