NORFOLK — As crews begin to demolish the old American Cigar Co. structure on East Princess Anne Road, the city plans to close part of the roadway beginning Tuesday at 9 a.m.
The road will close between Park Avenue and Tidewater Drive until sometime in mid-May when the building is taken down, according to a City of Norfolk news release.
Drivers can use East Virginia Beach Boulevard as a detour in the meantime.
Westbound motorists can turn left at Park Avenue, right at East Virginia Beach Boulevard, and right on Tidewater Drive to arrive at East Princess Anne Road.
Eastbound drivers can turn left at Tidewater Drive, right into the East Virginia Beach Boulevard loop and left at Park Avenue to get to East Princess Anne Road, according to the release.
