Police search for driver wanted in Virginia Beach hit-and-run

Police are searching for a driver accused of hitting a pedestrian in Virginia Beach two weeks ago.

The pedestrian was walking in a crosswalk at the corner of S. Independence Boulevard and Dahlia Drive around 7:18 a.m. on Feb. 10 when a person driving a silver Nissan sedan turned right on a red light and hit them, according to a release from the Virginia Beach Police Department.

Police say the driver left the scene without helping the victim or identifying themselves. The victim had a minor injury.
