VIRGINIA BEACH — Virginia Beach Public Libraries, except for the Joint-Use Library at Tidewater Community College, will close March 8 for staff training.
The Joint-Use Library will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Due and pick-up dates for books and other materials have been adjusted to reflect the closings, according to a VBPL press release.
The library’s “all-training staff day” happens every three years, where national, regional and local experts gather to help refresh and sharpen employees’ skills. The day is mostly funded by the Friends of Virginia Beach Public Library, according to the release.
Library cardholders will still be able to access their digital accounts.
