VIRGINIA BEACH — The city’s strategic growth area staff wants to know transportation needs of people who work at the Bayfront and the Oceanfront with a survey.

Depending on the survey results, the city could explore new bus routes and frequencies, ride sharing options, or creative transportation demand management strategies, according to city manager Dave Hansen’s latest city update.

Recently, HRT proposed a new seasonal, pilot shuttle route that could connect the Oceanfront and Bayfront communities.

The 20-question survey takes about five minutes to complete, and is conducted in association with Hampton Roads Transit’s Traffix division and other local organizations.
