Police have arrested a Norfolk man they say robbed four businesses in two days after receiving several tips to the Norfolk Crime Line.
Daniel Silverthorn, 51, of the 300 block of Winshire Street, is accused of robbing a Walgreens and a McDonald’s over the course of 10 minutes on Sunday. On the following day, police say Silverthorn robbed a Taco Bell and Beach Bay Food Store in a span of 30 minutes.
Nobody was injured in any of the four incidents.
Silverthorn was charged with four counts each of robbery, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and using a firearm during the commission of a felony. He is being held in the Norfolk City Jail without bond.
