A female red panda has gone missing from the Virginia Zoo, according to zoo staff.
Sunny, the 19-month-old red panda, was last seen in her habitat on Monday at 5 p.m.

When it was determined she was no longer in her enclosure on Tuesday, the zoo partnered with the Norfolk Police Department to search the property using a geothermal camera. The zoo believes Sunny is somewhere on zoo grounds.
According to the zoo, red pandas are not considered aggressive. Sunny has reddish-brown fur and a long tail, much like a raccoon. If you believe you’ve spotted Sunny, call the Virginia Zoo at 757-777-7899.
