Virginia Beach man gets 11 years in prison for cocaine trafficking

A Virginia Beach man will spend 11 years in prison for his role in trafficking cocaine.

The Department of Justice says Jesus Lee, 37, was supposed to receive about 11 pounds of cocaine in a trailer on its way to Hampton Roads but authorities confiscated the drugs during an out-of-state traffic stop. DEA agents then supervised a delivery to Lee and arrested him immediately after exchanging cash for the cocaine in an industrial lot in Chesapeake.

Lee pleaded guilty on July 6, 2016 and was attributed to receiving dozens of kilograms of cocaine during the conspiracy at sentencing.

U.S. District Judge Arenda Wright Allen delivered the sentence.
