If you have cabin fever and need to chase it away with a dose of live music, set your GPS for historic Yorktown’s Riverwalk Landing.
Beginning Thursday, Jan. 19, York County will kick off its Ninth Annual Cabin Fever Concert Series with a gig in the Freight Shed by the “Doug Dunn Band,” according to a release.
Made up of four musicians from Hampton Roads, the band spotlights classic easy listening influenced by jazz and the blues. Members include Doug Dunn, guitarist Mike Doyle, bassist Ross King and Rich Phelps on drums.
The second concert, slated for Thursday, Feb. 2, features “Rockin’ Vets,” whose members are veterans of military music programs. Their performances fuse country music with a mix of styles.
Capping the series, “Hot House Band” will appear on Thursday, Mar. 2. Made up of five local musicians, the group blends pop, classic rock, country, blues, jazz, Motown and rhythm and blues.
Seating at the Freight Shed is limited and first-come, first-served. Performances start at 7 p.m. Doors open not before 6:30 p.m.
