Williamsburg police investigating Highland Park vehicle break-ins

Williamsburg Police carWilliamsburg police are asking citizens for information about a recent series of vehicle break-ins in the Highland Park area.

An unknown person or persons broke into several vehicles in the Highland Park area between 11 p.m. on Thursday, June 23 and 6 a.m. on Friday, June 24. All vehicles were unlocked at the time of the break-ins.

The Williamsburg Police Department is actively investigating this crime and looking for help from citizens to find the culprit or culprits. Any person with information about the thefts is asked to call the police department at 757-220-2331 or Crime Stoppers at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP (1-888-562-5887).

Additionally, police are asking citizens to take precautions to protect themselves from theft. They are advising people to cover any valuables left in their cars, lock their vehicles, leave their windows rolled up and park in well-lit areas. Finally, residents are encouraged to report any suspicious activity or persons to the police.
