
With secondary roads still too treacherous for travel, schools and government offices have already announced closures and delays for Monday.

Government
James City County offices and facilities will open under a two-hour delay on Monday. The Recreation Center will open at 10 a.m. The county has also postponed recycling pick-up scheduled for Monday to Tuesday, and all collections for the remainder of the week through Saturday will be pushed back one day. All county parks, with the exception of Mid County Park, will remain closed until further notice. A decision will be made by 2 p.m. today regarding youth basketball games scheduled for tonight.
York County government offices will open under a two-hour delay on Monday. As a result of lingering conditions and expected re-icing on secondary roads, County Waste has canceled curbside recycling service for BLUE ROUTES on Monday, January 25, and will follow a holiday schedule starting on Tuesday, January 26. Monday routes will be serviced on Tuesday, Tuesday routes on Wednesday, and so forth, ending with Friday routes being collected on Saturday, January 30. There is no change to the curbside garbage collection schedule. County officials advise residents to please be patient, as some areas may still be hard to navigate.
City of Williamsburg offices and the Quarterpath Recreation Center will open at 10 a.m. Monday. Quarterpath Recreation Center will close at 4:30 and all evening activities are postponed.
Waller Mill Park will be closed Monday. Trash pickup in the city will run on its normal schedule.
The Williamsburg Regional Library – all locations – will open at noon Monday.
The Williamsburg-James City County Courthouse is closed Monday.
York-Poquoson Courthouse is closed Monday.
Williamsburg Area Transit Authority will begin service at 6 a.m. Monday, though several stops will either be closed or begin service at later time than normal.

Schools
Hampton Roads Academy is closed Monday.
Providence Classical School is closed Monday.
Williamsburg-James City County Schools is closed Monday. High school final exams, which will be held Wednesday and Thursday, will be optional.
York County School Division is closed Monday. All afterschool and evening practices or activities scheduled for Monday have been postponed, including the School Board meeting.
Williamsburg Christian Academy will be closed Monday.
Walsingham Academy will be closed Monday. There will be no classes or activities.
Williamsburg Montessori School will be closed Monday
The College of William & Mary will open at noon Monday. Any classes starting before noon have been cancelled.
Thomas Nelson Community College will open at 11 a.m.
Attractions
Historic Jamestowne will open at 11 a.m.
The Virginia Living Museum will open at 11 a.m.
Businesses
Chesapeake Bank and Chesapeake Investment Group will delay opening until 10:30 a.m. Monday.
New Town United Methodist Church offices are closed on Monday. The preschool is also closed.
