
The Greater Williamsburg Chamber & Tourism Alliance has announced the winners of last weekend’s Christmas Parade.
The “Our Golden Christmas” theme, selected in honor of the parade’s 50th anniversary, saw many floats and marchers decked out in gold paint and sparkles. Many entrants into the parade also paid homage to past parade themes.
With more than 115 units marching in the parade, including 67 floats, nine marching bands, eight children’s performing units, eight other performing units, seven motor vehicle units, nine Grand Marshals and seven sponsors, competition for the top spot in each category was stiff.
General Float Winners:

Commercial Float Winners:
- AAA Williamsburg
- Norge Dental
Children’s Float Winners:
- Boy Scout Troop 103
- Cub Scout Troop 103
Children’s Performing Unit Winners:
- Jaguars -James City County Youth Football & Cheerleading League
- Cub Scout Pack 414, sponsored by Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Norge
Other Performing Units Winners:
- Colonial Newfoundland and Rescue
- Wish Upon a Star Farm
Highest Scoring Marching Bands:
Bruton High School of York County and Lakeland High School from Suffolk were tied for first place.
