A mobile home is considered a total loss after a fire Wednesday morning.
A neighbor on the 6000 block of Old Mooretown Road noticed the fire and called 911 around 12:16 a.m. Wednesday.
Units from the James City County Fire Department arrived on the scene around 12:22 a.m. to find the home fully engulfed in the fire.
Firefighters brought the blaze under control by 12:41 a.m., but the mobile home – unoccupied at the time of the fire – suffered extensive damage and is considered a total loss.
A firefighter suffered an eye injury and was treated at the scene. No other injuries have been reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
