From November through early January of each year, the City of Williamsburg provides free curbside leaf collection for its residents.
Residents can rake leaves to the curb by 7 a.m. on the Monday of their appointed collection week to have the leaves vacuumed up by a collection truck.
Residential areas in the city are divided into a red and blue route, with each route allotted five collections.
Residents are asked to avoid raking leaves onto the street, as they clog storm drains and pollute local waterways.
