Candidates in each district race for the James City County Board of Supervisors will face off in a debate Wednesday.
Three separate debates – one-hour each for the Berkeley, Roberts and Stonehouse district races – will begin at 6 p.m. at Legacy Hall in New Town. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.
The event, free and open to the public, begins at 6 p.m. with the Berkeley candidates, incumbent Mary Jones (R) and challenger Ruth Larson (I).
The Roberts District debate between incumbent John McGlennon (D) and challenger Heather Cordasco (R) is slated for a 7:15 p.m. start.
Incumbent Jim Kennedy (I) and challenger Sue Sadler (R), who are running for the Stonehouse District, will begin their debate at 8:30 p.m.
WYDaily Managing Editor Nicole Trifone and Gazette Deputy Editor Robert Brauchle will ask questions for all three debates. Moderator Linda Rice, president of the League of Women Voters of the Williamsburg Area, will draw her questions from those submitted by audience members before the start of the first debate.
