As a storm unrelated to Hurricane Joaquin continues to move along the Southeast, flooding began in the Historic Triangle on Friday.
Though Hurricane Joaquin is not expected to make landfall in the U.S., the Historic Triangle is expected to experience about 10 inches of rainfall because of an unrelated storm front.
Some of the effects of Joaquin in the Atlantic Ocean could reach the Historic Triangle on Sunday and into Monday.
WYDaily has compiled photos from staff and Historic Triangle residents who captured the effects of the flooding.
