A nationwide company that sells and leases furniture, appliances and electronics has opened a branch in York County.
Aaron’s Inc. held its ribbon cutting and grand opening Friday at its new 8,000 square-foot store, located at 471 Merrimac Trail next to the CHKD Thrift Store.
Charlie Smith, general manager for the York County store, said this location is bigger than the “typical” Aaron’s store. After renovations, the store features a new floor plan and more merchandise in a larger variety.
“We think this is a great area, not only a great community but a great opportunity for us to expand our business,” Smith said.
Aaron’s Inc. also recently opened a store in Dumfries. The company has more than 2,100 company-operated and franchised stores in the U.S. and Canada.
The ceremony was attended by staff from the Greater Williamsburg Chamber & Tourism Alliance and York County.
