The Williamsburg Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect in a bank fraud.

Police are investigating after they say a woman entered the Richmond Road Wells Fargo Bank on July 15 and withdrew a large sum of cash using a stolen identity, according to a news release.

Police said the suspect later attempted to withdraw money from a Wells Fargo Bank in Yorktown but was unsuccessful.

They are asking citizens with any information on the suspect to call Crime Stoppers at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP or the Williamsburg Police Department at 757-220-2331.
