More than 2,200 customers, including Sentara Williamsaburg Regional Medical Center, were without power in James City and York counties after a tree fell on a power line near Newman Road in Upper York County on Wednesday morning.
The outage started around 9:16 a.m. Dominion crews at the scene were quickly able to restore power to 986 customer. As of 10:41 a.m., 1,219 customers still lack power.
Sentara’s power was restored before 10 a.m., according to Dominion Spokeswoman Bonita Harris. Power is expected to be restored to all customers by 1 p.m.
Another outage is shown in the City of Williamsburg near the Savannah Green subdivision affecting six customers. That outage, which is also under investigation, is expected to be fixed between 1 and 3 p.m.
